It also applies to offline interactions where users are engaged through the Platform.

6Responsibilities

6.1MAP Health Care LTD Responsibilities

We are responsible for:

6.2Healthcare Providers

Healthcare providers using the Platform must:

  • ensure fair and non-discriminatory recruitment practices

  • provide equal opportunity to all eligible candidates
  • avoid biased decision-making in staffing processes

6.3Healthcare Professionals

Users must:

  • treat colleagues and patients with respect
  • avoid discriminatory behaviour or language
  • report any incidents of discrimination or harassment
  • comply with workplace equality policies

7Forms of Discrimination, Harassment and Bullying

MAP Health Care LTD does not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying on the Platform or in connection with any placement facilitated through the Platform.

7.1Direct Discrimination

Occurs when an individual is treated less favourably because of a protected characteristic, such as race, gender, disability, or age.

7.2Indirect Discrimination

Occurs when a policy or practice applies to everyone but disadvantages individuals with a protected characteristic.

7.3Harassment

Unwanted conduct related to a protected characteristic that has the purpose or effect of violating a person’s dignity or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment.

7.4Victimisation

Treating someone unfairly because they have made or supported a complaint related to discrimination or equality.

8Inclusive Recruitment and Fair Access

MAP Health Care ensures that recruitment and staffing processes facilitated through the Platform are fair, transparent, and merit-based.

We require healthcare providers to:

  • assess candidates based on qualifications, skills, and compliance
  • avoid biased or subjective decision-making
  • ensure equal access to opportunities for all eligible users
  • maintain consistent and transparent selection criteria

MAP Health Care systems are designed to support fair matching of candidates to roles based on objective criteria, not personal characteristics.

9Reasonable Adjustments

MAP Health Care is committed to supporting users with disabilities or additional needs.

Reasonable adjustments may include:

  • alternative formats for communication or documentation
  • extended time for compliance submissions
  • accessibility features within the Platform
  • support during onboarding or verification processes

Healthcare providers are also expected to comply with their legal duty to provide reasonable adjustments in the workplace.

Requests for adjustments will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

10Reporting Discrimination or Equality Concerns

Users are encouraged to report any concerns related to discrimination, harassment, or unfair treatment.

Reports may include:

  • discriminatory job practices
  • inappropriate behaviour during placements
  • unfair treatment by employers or colleagues
  • biased decision-making in recruitment
  • offensive or inappropriate communication

Reports should be submitted through official MAP Health Care channels.

All reports will be treated seriously, investigated promptly, and handled confidentially where possible.

Where appropriate, MAP Health Care may escalate issues to healthcare providers, regulatory bodies, or other relevant authorities.

11Investigation and Enforcement

MAP Health Care LTD reserves the right to investigate any suspected breach of this Policy.

Where a breach is confirmed or strongly suspected, we may take action including:

  • issuing warnings
  • restricting or suspending accounts
  • permanently removing users from the Platform
  • notifying employers or healthcare providers
  • reporting serious misconduct to regulatory bodies

All investigations will be conducted fairly, objectively, and in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

12Monitoring and Compliance

MAP Health Care may monitor platform activity to ensure compliance with equality and diversity standards, including:

  • communication logs (where legally permitted)
  • recruitment activity patterns
  • complaint and incident reports
  • compliance documentation

Monitoring is conducted strictly for the purpose of ensuring fairness, safety, and legal compliance.
